25 dive sites for all levels and condition in a 30 minutes range around Abades. Abades itself is perfect for beginners and snorkelers, disabled guests friendly. An interesting wreck is available in Tabaiba. Underwater life includes various rays species (common, round and long-tail stingrays, eagle ray, butterfly ray, marmor electric ray, obispo), angel sharks, moray eels, baracudas, garden eels, trumpet fish, groupers, octopus, cuttlefish, nudibranches, sea turtles, breams, gunnard, sardins, parrot fish and many smaller species. Volcanic rock formations with caves and tunnels, and sandy areas covered with sea grass. Very good visibility (average 25 m) on the dive sites on the South-East coast, the visibly on the South-West coast can be affected from the fishfarms on some winter days.
